Transparency matters to us. This Affiliate Disclosure explains how RigLoot (rigloot.com) makes money and, just as importantly, how our funding model does not influence the reviews, scores and recommendations we publish. It is written in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidance on endorsements and disclosures, as well as similar consumer-protection expectations in the UK and EU.

1. The short version

RigLoot earns money from display advertising and from affiliate and CPA (cost-per-action) links — including "play this game free" style offers. When you click certain links or complete certain offers, we may receive a commission or fee, at no extra cost to you. This support keeps RigLoot free to read. It never changes our editorial verdicts.

2. What affiliate and CPA links are

• Affiliate links point to retailers or services. If you click through and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a small percentage of the sale.
• CPA offer links reward us when you complete a specific action, such as registering for a game, installing an app or signing up for a free trial. "Play this game free" links are a common example.
• Display ads are banners and other advertising units served on our pages by advertising networks. We are typically paid based on impressions or clicks.

3. This does not affect our verdicts

Our editorial independence is not for sale. The presence of an affiliate link, a CPA offer or a display ad has no bearing on the score a product receives or the conclusions we reach.

• We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive review or a higher score.
• Our review verdicts are based on hands-on testing, benchmarking and the judgement of our editorial team.
• We will happily criticise or advise against a product even when we could earn a commission from it.
• Advertising and affiliate teams do not have influence over editorial content, and editorial decisions are made independently of commercial relationships.

4. How we label commercial links

Where practical, we mark affiliate and CPA links and sponsored placements so you can recognise them, for example with wording such as "affiliate link", "ad" or a short on-page note. Even where an individual link is not separately labelled, you should assume that outbound links to retailers, game offers and advertisers on RigLoot may be commercial and may earn us a commission.

5. Prices, availability and offer terms

Prices, discounts, game availability and offer conditions are set by the retailer, publisher or network — not by RigLoot — and can change at any time. Always confirm the current price and the full terms of any offer on the destination site before you buy or sign up. We are not responsible for third-party offers, and completing an offer creates a relationship between you and that third party, not with RigLoot.

6. Third parties and your data

Affiliate networks, CPA providers and advertising partners are independent companies with their own privacy practices. When you click a commercial link or interact with an ad, those partners may collect and process data about you.
